Lately I have been blogging only for the purpose of participating in contests. Somewhere I feel guilty about it and wish I could write for the pure joy of writing. Why should a prize motivate me to write and not just the joy of writing?
On one of my favourite blogger community - Indiblogger, I see an entire ecosystem of bloggers creating content on a daily basis. How I envy them. Recently there has been another spate of contests covering topics as disparate as from red oils to idea caravans to de-odorizers to the recent one - platinum love bands.
The last one has quite a few minds getting excited and they would have started letting their creative juices flow. I find myself battling my writer's block but hope my writing skills will soon resurface to allow me to participate in this particular contest.
So, I can win a prize that I can gift someone.
Now isn't that for a good cause.
